I think that’s because it feels weird to hold a 16:9 device in portrait, though. It’s a reason to go 4:3, not a reason not to.

I’m sure you’re right. I was principally comparing the galaxy tab and ipad, and one UI is clearly superior there! The question is whether 7” tsblet versions will ever feel like simplified desktop…

Have you used tablets much? I’m always surprised how much I prefer using a 10”. It’s just more satisfying. 7” sounds good, but it’s not different enough to a phone.
